Lyrics

Well, I ought to be packing
I know that I should
Be leaving tonight
'Cause the timing is good
My baby's back in New Orleans
And missing his girl
But I'm scheduled at some mountain
Across the world
He tells me he likes me
He treats me so well
I think living this old life
Without him be hell

But I gotta make money
The way I know how
Put a smile on my face
In a long sparkling gown
Tap my toe to the rhythm
I know it so well
But I'm missing my guy
You can probably tell
So I'll pack up my suitcase
Tomorrow I'll leave
To surprise my baby back in New Orleans

Well, his manners are charming
His kisses so sweet
Oh, my baby, he's missing, missing me
Oh, my baby is missing me in New Orleans
Oh, my baby is missing me in New Orleans
So I'll pack up my suitcase
Tomorrow I'll leave
To surprise my sweet baby back in New Orleans

So I ought to be packing
I know that I should
I'm leaving tonight
'Cause the timing is good
He's in New Orleans and he's missing his girl
But I'm scheduled at some mountain
Across the world
So I'll pack up my suitcase
Tomorrow I'll leave
To surprise my baby back in New Orleans
Ooh yeah
